It was a marriage made in heaven! In 2008, the combined companies of SEMCO Products, Positive Marketing Associates (PMA), and Midwest Index formed to create Integrated Filing Solutions.

Known for quality and service, each of our companies built their success off of a stellar reputation for providing dealer partners support, solutions, and a great selection of successful selling stock and custom filing products.

The merger solidified our position as the leading supplier of filing system products and services and we are excited about the benefits and value it brought to our national dealer network. The combined power of our three strong, established businesses resulted in a larger, more progressive entity, providing stability and continuity of supply to our valued customers.

SEMCO Products

SEMCO has been developing and producing paper-based document management solutions for over 90 years. Established in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1917 and incorporated in 1929 as the Safety Envelope Manufacturing Company, the company manufactured affordable, tamper-proof envelopes for banks and legal firms.

Over time, SEMCO transitioned their main product offering to custom and stock filing products for the healthcare, financial, government, insurance and other professional and administrative markets.

In 1997, SEMCO owners Jay and Todd Weber built a state-of-the-art facility to expand their high quality stock and custom folder offering. SEMCO’s customer focused service offerings included unrivaled Express shipping programs and versatile assembly services.

Midwest Index

Founded in 1996 by John Eggert and Mike Gilbert, Midwest Index has manufactured a broad range of custom index tabs and filebacks used primarily in the healthcare, financial, publishing and commercial printing sectors.

The company moved into their current 30,000 sq ft headquarters in 2002 to accommodate additional manufacturing capacity in support of increased business activity.

Positive Marketing Associates (PMA)

Positive Marketing Associates (PMA) was founded in 1978 by Don Fouts as a manufacturer and wholesaler of labels, folders and forms.

With an established reputation for quality, service and breadth of product offering, the company was acquired by Colwell / Patterson in 1998. After 7 years, the company was sold to the owners of Midwest Index to complement their existing index product line and leverage the synergy of the national dealer network and distribution system.
